BK01 - Chinese Language Phrase Book
This special booklet is specially designed for Adoption Travelers. The booklet is "comb" bound, divided into sections, has a heavy card-stock cover, and includes common words and phrases needed by both general travelers and adoptive parents. It is rare indeed to find a phrase book that includes such valuable phrases as: "I adopted this baby.", "I am your mommy/daddy.", "Where does it hurt?", "Time for sleep.", "Don’t be afraid.", "No MSG", and the always popular "Do you need to potty?". In addition to entries you will find in most travel phrase books, we have included many adoption related words like orphanage, immunization record, foster parent, Ministry of Civil Affairs, Power of Attorney, skin rash, hepatitis, and disposable needle. All of the words and phrases are provided in English; in Pinyin, so that you can pronounce them; and in Chinese Characters, so that you can point to them. There is also a short paragraph in Chinese Characters on the back cover that you can show to introduce yourself and your adoption to Chinese people you meet.
